SWOT and VARK Analysis
SWOT Analysis
A SWOT analysis is designed to allow people to analyze there current situation in life. It is often used for finding a new job and is good for the person in question.
Strengths
* Logical thinking
* Empathetic to a large range of situations
* Focused
* Technologically minded
Weaknesses
* Find it hard to concentrate on a number of things
* Overprotective of things and people
Opportunities
* Working at Waitrose
* Accepted to University
Threats
* Change in knowledge requirements
* Change in entire education system when progressing from Sixth form to University
VARK Analysis
After completing the VARK questionnaire and calculating the results via the scoring chart, it has been made clear that it is better for me to learn by doing the things I am to learn. This method of learning is described as Kinesthetic, which means that I take a better approach to doing things instead of reading, observing or being told how achieve the desired effect at the end of the project.
Results:
Visual: 4
Aural: 1
Read / Write: 4
Kinesthetic: 7
I think these results do reflect my working and learning style as just listening and watching people do the work / telling me how to use and learn things doesn’t enable to use the knowledge myself. In a usual situation I have to use the item or learning material myself and teach myself through trial and error to understand how and what it does.
